How we teach

We guide you all the way — from the initial consultation before the course even starts to your certificate and further development. See how our classes work, what materials we use and everything you gain as our student.

Vision

Good teaching rests on two things: fast feedback and an emphasis on practice. We bring both into every lesson.

Fast feedback

The key to fast and effective learning is the speed of feedback — the time between encountering a new concept and testing it in practice. That is why with us you try out new skills right during the lesson and get further feedback through optional homework and exercises.

Emphasis on practice

We do not focus only on academic knowledge — above all we pass on insight and experience from real practice. You learn on concrete examples and procedures that you will use in your own work.

Before we start

Before the course kicks off, we prepare everything together.

Initial consultation

Before the course starts, we have a relaxed chat with you to learn about your previous experience, goals and expectations.

Tailored teaching

We pass your input on to the lecturers, who use it to adapt the pace and content of the classes to the needs of the whole group.

Materials during the lesson

In our lessons you do not just work with a static presentation — we use live demos, diagrams and practical exercises where you try out new knowledge straight away.

For working with examples and writing code we mainly use the Jupyter Notebook platform, which lets you experiment right during the class. You can view a complete sample of our materials in Google Colab:

What about online teaching?

Most courses can also be taken online — in the same quality as in-person teaching. Also take a look at our classrooms for in-person courses in Brno and Prague.

How online teaching works

For online teaching we use the professional tool Zoom, which works on Windows, macOS and Linux. It supports video and audio, screen sharing by several people at once, drawing on the screen, chat and file sharing.

Video recordings

We also record every online lesson, and you have access to the recording whenever you want to come back to it.

More than just lessons

Our courses are not just about the lessons themselves. They are complemented by a whole range of activities and services that help you learn faster and with confidence.

Group consultations

Every course includes group consultations. We cover the topics you bring, go over the most common homework mistakes and review your code together.

Homework

Every lesson comes with optional homework at several difficulty levels. The lecturers mark it and give you specific feedback.

Communication

You get access to our communication channel, where you can message the lecturers and other participants at any time — during the course and beyond.

Projects

For every course we have several optional projects ready. Each has a supervisor you can consult your solution with as you go.

E-learning

All teaching materials and a range of additional resources, quizzes and examples are available in our e-learning system.

Feedback

After every lesson you can leave anonymous feedback in the e-learning system. It is read regularly by the course lead and the quality guarantor, so we keep improving our teaching.

Self-study materials

For all the topics covered we provide our own supplementary study materials, which you can use for revision and to deepen your knowledge further. We place special emphasis on artificial intelligence, for which we have prepared extensive original texts and practical guides.
