Basic Python programming and logical thinking are assumed — specifically knowledge of variables, data types, conditions, loops and basic data structures (list, dictionary).
The course is suitable for anyone who wants to understand how software runs in real operation and acquire the skills that almost every IT position requires today. Basic programming and logical thinking are enough.
Want to understand how software runs in real operation and gain practical foundations in Linux and DevOps.
Want to move towards DevOps, automation and managing modern infrastructure.
Want to understand the deployment of their applications — from the command line through Docker to operation and security.
The course is taught online with live lecturers, complemented by optional assignments, tests available in the e-learning platform and group and individual consultations. You find all materials and lesson recordings in our e-learning platform.
Recordings of all lessons that you can return to at any time.
You work with real tools from the first lesson — theory is always accompanied by practice.
Optional assignments and tests in the e-learning platform to practise and consolidate the material.
A discussion channel for sharing experience and help when you get stuck.
After completing the course you receive a certificate of completion.
Emphasis on hands-on work with Linux, Git, networking and Docker.
In the opening block you understand what DevOps is and why no modern development can do without Linux. You learn to version code in Git and master working in Linux from the filesystem to the editor.
What DevOps is and why it has become the standard of modern software development. We go through the overview and goals of the course and explain why Linux is key to DevOps and where it is used.
Introduction to versioning code in Git, working with branches and team collaboration. We lay the solid foundation on which all teamwork in software development stands.
The history of Linux and the importance of open source, an overview of distributions and their specifics. We start with basic system administration and working with the filesystem.
Working with files and directories, the permissions system and mastering the classic VIM editor. You learn to move around Linux with confidence.
In the second block you go from user to administrator. You automate repetitive tasks with Bash scripts and understand how computers communicate with each other and how to properly secure networks and services.
Managing packages, services and system processes. You learn the basics of Bash scripting for automating repetitive tasks and more advanced system administration.
You understand the OSI model and the basics of TCP/IP, master basic network tools and diagnostics (ping, ssh) and understand how data travels across a network.
The DNS naming system and the DHCP, TLS and SSH protocols. You learn to implement and secure key network services.
The final block belongs to containers. You master Docker from your first image to orchestrating multi-container applications with Docker Compose, deepen your Git knowledge and take a look into the world of ethical hacking.
Introduction to Docker and containerisation. You learn to work with images, create and run containers and master the basic Docker commands.
Practical work with Docker and writing your own Dockerfiles. We go through best practices and container security.
Introduction to container orchestration and microservice architecture. You get to know the Docker Compose tool and the principles of managing multiple containers.
Creating and managing multi-container applications with Docker Compose and best practices for deployment in real projects.
Advanced topics in working with Git — resolving conflicts, reverting changes and a look at Git’s internals.
The basics of cybersecurity and ethical hacking. An overview of tools (Kali Linux, Tails, Wireshark) and practical examples of securing networks and applications, including the use of VPNs.
It doesn’t end with the course. Even after completing it, you keep plenty of benefits you can rely on:
An official Turing Institut certificate documenting your newly acquired skills.
Recordings of all lessons and study materials remain yours forever – come back to them whenever you need.
A Discord full of people like you, a newsletter with IT news and exclusive members-only events.

The course is suitable for anyone who wants to understand how software runs in real operation. Participants may include beginning developers and IT students, testers, administrators and support staff who want to move towards DevOps, and programmers who want to understand the deployment and operation of their applications. Logical thinking and basic programming are a must.
Linux powers the vast majority of servers, cloud and containers, and DevOps is today's standard of modern software development. Knowledge of Linux, Git, networking and Docker is among the most sought-after skills on the market and opens the door to positions such as DevOps engineer, system administrator or SRE.
Basic Python programming and logical thinking are assumed — specifically knowledge of variables, data types, conditions, loops and basic data structures (list, dictionary). No previous experience with Linux or DevOps is needed; we teach you everything from the basics.
The course is taught online with live lecturers, complemented by optional assignments, tests available in the e-learning platform and group and individual consultations. All materials and lesson recordings are published in our e-learning platform.
