What is the Jsem v kurzu programme?

Jsem v kurzu (“I’m in a course”) is a programme of the Czech Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Labour Office of the Czech Republic that supports digital education. You choose a course and a specific date in the official catalogue, submit the application online and, once approved, pay your co-payment. The Labour Office sends the approved contribution directly to the training provider.

The new conditions of the DIGIkurzy project apply from 1 July 2026. According to the MPSV, applications will open in the second half of 2026; the exact date has not yet been published. We are registering our courses gradually and you can find their current status below.

How much the funding saves you

In the standard case the Labour Office pays 76.73 % of the course price and you pay 23.27 %. The total contribution is capped at CZK 35,000 per 3 calendar years; the exact amount is always set by the Labour Office in its Confirmation, based on your remaining limit and whether the conditions are met. The standard calculation for each of our courses is shown in the course list below.

Up to 76.73 %

Contribution from the Labour Office, paid directly to the training provider for your course.

Up to CZK 35,000

Total limit for one or more courses within 3 calendar years from the start of the first course. The Labour Office assesses each application individually; support is usually granted once, and a further course is allowed only in justified cases.

Up to 100 %

For low-income groups the Labour Office may cover the full price of the course.

Our courses in the Jsem v kurzu programme

For each course you can see its current registration status and an indicative standard calculation assuming a fully available limit. The exact amount of the contribution is always set by the Labour Office in its Confirmation. If a course is still waiting to be listed, leave us your e-mail and we will let you know as soon as you can apply.

Join the waitlist

As soon as the Labour Office lists the course in its catalogue and it is possible to apply for the contribution, we will send you an e‑mail with instructions. No obligation, free of charge.

We will send just one message when it becomes relevant. No newsletter.

Who can apply for the contribution?

The programme is not only for the unemployed. It can be used by employees, freelancers, parents on parental leave, students and people without a job.

The basic condition is registration with the Labour Office as a job seeker or job applicant. If you are not registered, you apply for registration together with your course application. You must also meet the other programme conditions listed below.

How to apply for funding step by step

The whole process can be handled online. This is how it works, from choosing a course to the payment of the contribution:

  1. Choose a course and a date

Take a look at the list of our courses in the programme. You will find the course in the Labour Office catalogue (Database of Retraining and Further Education) under the same name as on our site, always with a specific date. A date can be published in the catalogue no earlier than 90 days before it starts. You must submit your application no later than 30 days before the course starts.

Course not in the catalogue yet? Join the waitlist – we will write to you as soon as you can apply for the contribution.
  2. Log in to the Jsem v kurzu portal

On mpsv.gov.cz/jsem-v-kurzu choose "Přihlášení moje kurzy" (Login – my courses). You verify your identity with the Czech Citizen Identity (bank identity, eObčanka, NIA ID…) or your personal data box (datová schránka). If you are not yet registered with the Labour Office, you register as a job seeker in a single step together with your application – you do not have to be unemployed and you do not need to go anywhere in person.

No bank identity or data box? You can set up both online in a few minutes – see the links below. A business (self-employed) data box is not sufficient for logging in as an individual; use bank identity or eObčanka.
  3. Submit the course application

Click "Přihlásit" (Apply) next to the chosen date and fill in the application. An important part of the application is the justification of how the course will support your employability. Take care with it – the Labour Office assesses your application based on it. If you are not registered, you also choose a Labour Office contact office (preferably the one closest to your home). You submit the application only via the portal – there is no need to register with us separately.

No later than 30 days before the course starts. The Labour Office assesses each application individually; there is no legal entitlement to the contribution, and the MPSV states that support is usually granted once, with exceptions in justified cases.
  4. Assessment by the Labour Office

Your application is first reviewed by us as the training provider and then by the Labour Office. You receive an e‑mail notification about every step and can also see everything in the "Přihlášení moje kurzy" section. Once approved, the Labour Office sends you a Confirmation with the exact amount of the contribution and your co-payment. If rejected, you receive a statement with the reasons.

There is no legal entitlement to the contribution – among other things, the Labour Office assesses how the course relates to your employability. We are happy to help you word the justification at info@beeit.cz.
  5. Pay your co-payment

After approval we issue a proforma invoice in your name for the difference between the course price and the exact contribution stated in the Confirmation. With a fully available limit this is normally 23.27 % of the price. You must pay it no later than one calendar day before the first day of teaching, from your own funds: from an account in your name, from the account of a close person to which you have signing rights (confirmed by a sworn statement), or in cash at our office against a receipt.

Your co-payment must not be paid by an employer, a company or a foundation, and it cannot be waived or discounted – this is a rule of the programme. The Labour Office will not accept any other payment and will not grant the contribution.
  6. Complete the course and document your payment

Attend the live classes – to receive the contribution you must complete at least 80 % of the hours (and at least 40 hours) and pass any final knowledge assessment if the course card requires one. No later than on the last day of the course, send us confirmation of payment of the proforma invoice from your online banking.

After successful completion and documentation of all conditions you receive a certificate of completion. The Labour Office then pays us directly the amount stated in the Confirmation. Normally this is 76.73 % of the price; the actual amount may be lower due to earlier use of the limit or proportional reduction. Lesson recordings and e‑learning remain available to you, but only live attendance counts towards the attendance requirement.

Validity of the CZK 35,000 limit

The contribution limit is counted over 3 calendar years from the start of the first course and may cover one or more courses. However, the Labour Office assesses each application separately; the MPSV states that support is usually granted once and a further course is allowed only in justified cases.

The deadlines are based on the current programme conditions (Conditions for the provision of a contribution towards a digital education course, effective from 1 July 2026). Before submitting an application, please verify them on the Jsem v kurzu portal.

Conditions of the digital course contribution

The rules are set by the MPSV and the Labour Office and are the same for all training providers. We have summarised the essentials – the full text can be found in the documents below.

What you must meet

  • Be registered with the Labour Office for the entire duration of the course as a job seeker or job applicant. Registration is created automatically with your application; if you end it during the course, the Labour Office pays only a proportional part.
  • Pay a co-payment of at least 23.27 % of the price from your own funds no later than one day before teaching starts, and provide us with proof of payment no later than on the last day of the course.
  • Complete at least 80 % of the live teaching hours (and at least 40 hours) and pass any knowledge assessment. Serious reasons for absence (illness, caring for a relative…) must be documented in writing to the Labour Office without undue delay. A proportional contribution can be granted only if the hours completed together with documented absence for serious reasons reach at least 80 % of the course.
  • Fulfil the study obligations of the course (assignments, projects) that we set.
  • Not be connected with Turing Institut (Bee Learning s.r.o.) – a close relative of a team member, an employee or supplier, or a member of a statutory body.

What to watch out for

  • The co-payment must not be paid by an employer, a company, a foundation or any other third party. It cannot be waived, discounted or replaced by another benefit – the Labour Office would not grant the contribution.
  • The proforma invoice must be in your name. It cannot be issued to a company or another entity.
  • You submit the application only via the Jsem v kurzu portal. You cannot apply retroactively for a course that is already running or has ended, or for a date that starts in less than 30 days.
  • If you fail to meet the conditions (attendance, payment, documents), the Labour Office will not grant the contribution and you pay the full price of the course yourself. If the training provider fails to meet them, it may not claim the balance from you.
  • The contribution goes directly to the training provider – it never goes to your account. You pay only the co-payment.

What the course must meet

We only register courses in the programme that comply with the MPSV rules for digital education courses.

min. 50 hours of teaching live teaching online or in person in the Czech Republic max. 25 participants in Czech or English certificate of completion

Frequently asked questions about the Jsem v kurzu programme

Haven’t found an answer? Write to us at info@beeit.cz or call +420 732 813 373.

Do I have to be unemployed to get the funding?

No. The programme is for employees, freelancers, parents on parental leave, students and people without a job. The only condition is registration with the Labour Office as a job seeker – this is created automatically when you submit the application, with nothing else to arrange. In the application you can also choose to be removed from the register after the course ends.

How much will I actually pay?

If you have the full limit available and the Labour Office approves the standard contribution, your co-payment is 23.27 % of the course price and the Labour Office pays 76.73 % directly to us. Examples: for a course priced at CZK 37,900 the Labour Office pays CZK 29,081 and you pay CZK 8,819; for a course priced at CZK 41,900 the Labour Office pays CZK 32,150 and you pay CZK 9,750.

The exact amount is always set by the Labour Office in its Confirmation. It may be lower due to earlier use of the limit or proportional reduction. The cap is CZK 35,000 per person per 3 calendar years; for low-income groups as defined by the MPSV the Labour Office may cover 100 % of the course price.

When can I submit the application?

The MPSV opens applications for digital education courses in the second half of 2026. The course must also be listed in the Labour Office catalogue – we have registered our courses and are waiting for them to be listed. You then submit the application no later than 30 days before the start date.

Don't want to keep checking? Join the waitlist and we will get in touch as soon as you can apply for the contribution.

Can my employer or someone else pay the co-payment?

No. You must pay the co-payment from your own funds – from an account in your name, from the account of a close person to which you have signing rights (confirmed by a sworn statement), or in cash at our office. The proforma invoice is always in your name. The Labour Office will not accept a payment from an employer, a company or a foundation and will not grant the contribution. We are also not allowed to waive or discount the co-payment – it is a rule of the programme.

What if I don't finish the course or miss more than 20 % of the classes?

To receive the contribution you must complete at least 80 % of the live teaching hours (and at least 40 hours) and pass any knowledge assessment. If you fail to meet the conditions by your own decision, the Labour Office will not grant the contribution and you pay the full price of the course yourself.

Exceptions may apply for serious reasons under the Employment Act (illness, caring for a close person, starting a job in the case of job applicants…). You must document them in writing to the Labour Office without undue delay. A proportional contribution can be granted only if the sum of hours completed and documented absence for serious reasons reaches at least 80 % of the course; we refund you the corresponding part of the co-payment for the part not completed.

I want to use the funding for more than one course. Is that possible?

The rules allow the limit to cover one or more courses: within 3 calendar years from the start of the first course the Labour Office may grant a total of no more than CZK 35,000, and your co-payment does not count towards the limit. However, this is not an automatic entitlement to multiple grants. The Labour Office assesses each application individually and the MPSV states that support is usually granted once; a further course is allowed only in justified cases.

I already used Jsem v kurzu in 2023–2025. Am I eligible again?

From 1 July 2026 new conditions of the DIGIkurzy project, financed from the Employment Plus Operational Programme, are in effect: a contribution of up to CZK 35,000 and a standard co-payment of 23.27 % (previously CZK 50,000 and 18 %). The limit is counted over 3 calendar years from the start of the first course. To be sure how earlier use is assessed, please check with the Labour Office or on the Jsem v kurzu portal.

How do I check the status of my application and how do I cancel it?

You receive an e‑mail notification about every step (confirmation by the training provider, approval or rejection by the Labour Office). You can also find everything on the Jsem v kurzu portal in the "Přihlášení moje kurzy" section. There you can also cancel the application using the "Zrušit přihlášku na kurz" (Cancel course application) button – no later than one calendar day before the course starts.

What if I fail the final knowledge assessment?

If the course card requires a knowledge assessment, you can retake it within 30 calendar days of the end of the course. If you do not pass even the retake (and there are no serious reasons), the Labour Office will not grant the contribution and you pay the balance for the course. In our courses we prepare you for the assessment during the classes – it is not an exam "out of nowhere".

Will I get a certificate after the course?

Yes. After successful completion we issue a certificate of course completion in accordance with the programme rules – with the course name, number of hours, topics covered and project details. It looks good on your CV and LinkedIn.

Can I apply through you, or will you help me with the application?

You always submit the application yourself on the Jsem v kurzu portal – the training provider cannot submit it for you. But we are happy to help you choose a course, word the justification and clarify anything in the application that is unclear. Write to info@beeit.cz or call +420 732 813 373.

Is this the same as Labour Office retraining?

No. Retraining (arranged or chosen) is a different Labour Office instrument with its own rules, accreditation and a limit of up to CZK 50,000. We register our courses as digital education courses with a contribution of up to CZK 35,000 and a standard co-payment of 23.27 % with a fully available limit. Applications for digital education courses are submitted online.

Official links and documents

The full rules can be found in the MPSV documents "Poučení pro zájemce o kurz digitálního vzdělávání" (Information for applicants) and "Podmínky poskytnutí příspěvku na úhradu kurzu digitálního vzdělávání" (Conditions for the contribution; effective from 1 July 2026) – available for download on the Jsem v kurzu portal (in Czech). The specific amount of the contribution, the co-payment and other conditions are governed by the current MPSV rules; please verify them before submitting an application.
